Prof. Dr. Marcus Schögel is Director of the Institute of Marketing and Academic Director of the master program in Customer Value at the University of St.Gallen. He teaches courses in Strategic Marketing, Channel Management, Interactive Marketing, Brand Management and International Marketing on the master level.
He is responsible for the Marketing Curriculum in the fulltime and parttime MBA-programs at the University of St.Gallen. He is a the academic director for several inhouse and executive education programs (eg. Bayer Crop Science, Phonak, DKSH, Holcim, Forbo, Henkel KGaA). Prof. Dr. Schögel focuses his research on issues in Channel Management, Interactice Marketing and building the Customer Centric Company. He has completed several projects in cooperation with international partner companies such as BMW, Google, Henkel, Microsoft, McKinsey & Company, PWC, Sonova, TUI, Zürich a.m.o.
From February to July 2013 Prof. Dr. Schögel was situated at the SGI-HSG in Singapore for a visiting professorship. His aim is to establish a center of competence in the field of customer centricity in Singapore. Activities include research in the field of customer centric activities and their impact on corporate productivity, the development of executive education courses on the challenges of doing business and Asia and building relationships to companies in Asia.
